Curriculum
Bernard JOURNET, est né le 20 avril 1956 à Lyon. Ancien élève du département de physique de l'ENS de Cachan de 1975 à 1981, il a été reçu en 1978 à l'agrégation de Sciences Physiques Option Physique. Il a passé son DEA Géophysique Interne et Géochimie, option Géophysique Interne à l'Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris VI en 1981, et a soutenu sa thèse le 28 juin 1983 au sein du laboratoire de sismologie de l'Institut de Physique du Globe (Université Paris VI). Il a aussi obtenu en juin 1992 la Maîtrise de Langue et Civilisation Étrangère (Vietnamien) de l'Université Paris VII. Après avoir enseigné pendant 5 ans au Lycée Fresnel (Paris 14è) en classe de BTS Instruments d'Optique de Précision, il a été recruté comme maître de conférences à l'ENS de Cachan en octobre 1989, au sein du département EEA, et en tant que chercheur au LESiR, il est maintenant responsable du pôle SOPHY au sein du laboratoire SATIE. Il est aussi membre du conseil consultatif de l'IFR d'Alembert.

Thèmes de Recherche
Systèmes Optique et Hyperfréquences : Le thème de recherche actuel concerne les systèmes aliant optique et hyperfréquences principalement dans le domaine des télécommunications ou des capteurs. Nous travaillons à l'étude de composants photoniques tels que les modulateurs électro-optiques ou les composants d'extrémité dans les sytèmes hybrides fibre/radio ; la mise en place d'une instrumentation appropriée est une part importante de ces études. A côté des composants un axe important de recherche concerne l'oscillateur optoélectronique, avec diverses applications possibles.
